Academic Achievments of our School

We Strive through academics, driven by our Motto “Persevere Volhard”. We have Consistently Achieved a Higher Pass rate of more than 80% in the Past years, in which we have obtained a lot of bachelor passes for our Grade 12 Learners. Our Teachers are dedicated and working very hard together with the learners to achieve Excellent results.

Provincial & National Sports Achievement

We have in the years produced learners participating in different sporting codes at Provincial and National Level. We have Educators who dedicate time to train and provide proper coaching and support to our learners. Our learners have been raising our name very high, representing us in all our sporting codes.

We are Proud of Our Colours

We have the Best looking uniform in town. Our School Colors are Green, Red, White, Grey and Black. We make sure that in all our Sporting uniforms, our school colors are well represented, so that even when we play outside town we still stand out as Hoerskool Barberton and we remain Unique and Proud of our colors

About Our School

Our school was officially opened by the Department of Basic Education in 1955. We have ever since been the pride of  Makhonjwa. Our school has over 800 Learners and we have thrived over the years making sure that we provide efficient learning to our learners. We Strive through our Motto “Persevere Volhard“

Our School has in the last 10 years achieved the highest pass rate in the Umjindini Circuit, also with the highest number of bachelor Passes for our Grade 12 Pupils. We create an very well  managed learning Environment.

Our Teachers are highly Qualified Professionals, who understand the school’s Goals and Vision. We have so many Activities for our learners, such as Sports & Culture.

We have managed to find many ways to communicate and involve parents on what happens at school, We have a D6 Software system that Parents can always Log in to to see our communications and also access Homework for learners who were not at school.
